A mysterious square has appeared in your house.  It seems to do nothing but rotate clockwise, so you are gonna spend all your money making sure it does.

PD: if im in the universe of this game before the universe colapsed i vote the guy for president i want to see a cube rotate and free pizza wuhuu!!

Thank you very much for the kind words, glad you liked it so much :)

Can you provide an Android APK directly to itch that doesn’t require Google Play Services? I specifically buy games from itch.io to avoid that.

(+1)

Hey, I just added it to the Downloads list.

Let me know if it works for you :)

(+1)

Thanks much, I beat the game today in 8 minutes and 31 seconds.

A couple of issues I noticed; much of the text was tiny and difficult to read on my screen and my device has an integrated gamepad which didn’t work so I had to use the touchscreen for everything. It’s an Anbernic RG353P.

(+1)

Sadly I'm unable to fix these issues now, but thank you very much for the feedback :)

3:30 min

Amazing!

(1 edit) (+1)

Great game 4 mins 39 seconds, Please make an infinite version of this.

Thank you! It's technically infinite if you don't push x)

(+1)

8 min

Not bad!

(+1)

Fantastic game, I loved playing this. It wasn't too long, it was just the perfect amount of time.  I was able to vibe and play at the same time. Amazing, truly amazing.

Thank you so much, makes me happy to read that :)

(+1)

It was a nice game to play. It felt neither too short nor too long, just enough to have a taste of good idle game.

Thanks for the kind words!

(+1)

beat game in 10 minutes

That's great!

(+1)

The consequences of Aperture Science's portal gun.

What if a companion cube was a companion square that rotated too fast?

Hey, I'm sorry for this, but I'm unable to fix it :(

Hopefully the web version works for you

(+2)

Yes. The web version works. I suggest you make a clone of this except its infinite.

(+2)

Oh my god. It was a cube this whole time???

(+1)

What other secrets is the cube hiding from us...

(+1)

Definitely seems like it x)

(+1)

Really cute! I loved it!

Thank you very much!

(+1)

Haven’t worked once, was a fun challenge!

That’s an original way to play it :)

(+1)

honestly playing this way makes the game more fun

(+1)

I would love a second game like this but with a cube instead since at the end you can clearly see the square wasn't a square but a cube.

(1 edit) (+1)

or it turned into a cube, wait did the square make the 3d universe?!?!?!

-starts absolutely freaking out-

The powers of the cube are still unknown...

(+1)

Great, simple but effective. I liked the comments on the cards, definitly made upgrading more interesting.

Glad you liked it!

(+1)

I love the ending.

Happy to hear that :)

(+1)

okay, this is cute and well done. you made a lot of choices that, in a longer game, would wear out their welcome but in something this brief instead add to the charm. excellent work.

Thank you for the kind words!

(+1)

8 minutes 40 seconds... good idle game

Thank you very much!

(+1)

i like how they are just dancing XD

(+1)

I would dance aswell!

(+1)

bruh i broke reality in this game.

The cube has too much power

(+1)

Been doing some testing and finding it easier to hit 2:38 and 2:39 every time. I may be able to find a 1 second time save somewhere in here. Gotta test a few more things.

Glad to hear you are still up to the challenge ;)

(+1)

New findings there should be a way to get 2:37. The issue is by doing the upgrade it opens many more upgrades separating the $5,000 money increase and then the $0 money increase you receive after, so the time save is negated by scrolling. If the scrolling can be perfected or a way to make more text boxes appear on a touch screen, would have to find a way to play with vertical dimensions on a tablet, which I think I may be able to find a way to do, then a 2:37 is likely to be achievable. Gonna start looking at window setups to optimize the upgrade display.

That's a great find, hope the game doesn't break! x)

Bribery, blackmail, pyramid schemes, mistreatment of workers... and yet, up until the whole apocalypse thing, I still woulda voted for this guy over any of the democan/republicrat candidates who have run for president during my lifetime. Vote spinning cube party!

The guy really knows what the people want!

(+1)

beautiful

Thank you!

(+1)

thr thing I Don't know is the fact that it is so short. Is it the worst part, or the best part

Or both at the same time

(+1)

will work on improvements.

(+1)

hmmm

Nice! You can improve even more ;)

(+1)

I didnt think it would last long, and it didnt but what did happen was amazing

(+1)

Ever wondered what it'd be like to give up the Cookie Clicking business and push a square in your living room for money? How about the feeling of a dance party as people push a square for you while you take over the world? Well, if the answer to either of those was yes, you've come to the right place!

Push The Square is a semi-idle game where you start off as a lonely square pusher and businessperson and slowly build up your money and prestige by going to work and investing your money in pushing a square. Why? We don't know either, but as you push the square more and more, people will become interested in you as a person and allow you to unlock things like a party, becoming the president, and a rug for your house (finally).

(A third paragraph is usually added here to talk about bugs/glitches/dislikes, but this was just an honest idle game that you can beat pretty quickly)

All in all, this game was a great example of an idle/clicker game not needing to be overly expansive in order to be fun or entertaining. With a run time of about 10 minutes (some people have beaten it under 5), you'll get a good laugh out of pushing a square :)

My playthrough:

Thank you so much for the video and the review!
